The cool crispness of the Fall is quite refreshing, don't you think? We have had some extreme weather this year with record setting heat this spring and summer, as well as enormous amounts of rainfall and impending hurricanes. Nevertheless, God granted us the grace to live and talk about it today.
Throughout this year I have experienced health challenges, the loss of my father, and business challenges that have many times made me want to throw in the towel and give up on the dream that God has given me. The commitment that I relished during the early years of my fitness ministry slowly began to wane after a succession of failures and setbacks. Through it all God has never left my side. I know this because when I had no idea how I would muster up enough energy to even get out of the bed and serve the people that God has entrusted to my care, His spirit would encourage me to speak His Word over my situation and over my body. Even though I couldn’t see myself making it through the day, His strength became perfect in my weakness, and before I knew it the day would be over and I would be home, knowing that it was only God that carried me through. Surely goodness and mercy followed me (Psalm 23)!
I believe the worst is over….you know the saying “this too shall pass”, but if it was not for the presence and the power of the Lord I would not being writing this newsletter today. I have recommitted myself to excellence, and I hope that will be evident in any future work you see from Fit In.
I encourage you to also recommit yourself to whatever you have given up on. The Word says that “Men ought to always pray and not faint” (Luke 18:1). If you don’t know how to go on just give it to Jesus, our heavy load bearer, and watch Him carry you through. I know He will, because He did it for me.
With Much Love,
Angie Jones-Womack
