ARE YOU FAITHFUL?
Sluggish, tired, and unmotivated….that is how I feel following this inclement weather. I don’t know about you, but I have let my feelings dictate and overrule what my will wants to do. My will wants to stay committed to achieving my goals this year, but my body and mind scream at me to “rest and watch just one more hour of TV.”. My heart longs to be all that God’s knows I can be, all that I know I can be, but more times than not I tend to give into what my flesh wants. We have to take control of our lives, one day at a time, one moment at a time. Tell yourself today that you can eat healthy for just this one meal….that you can get to the gym and workout for just 30 minutes today….that you can turn the TV off and pray and read God’s Word just 15 minutes. Become faithful in small things, daily, one moment at a time, and expect big results. Make up your mind to do those things that will get you one step closer to your goals, and don’t let your flesh or your feelings talk you out of it. Say out loud what you want to accomplish today and what you ARE going to accomplish today, and not how you feel! Instead of saying “I am so tired today and don’t feel like doing anything”, say “I am strong and faithful, and I will be the best me that I can be today”.
Many a man proclaims his own loving-kindness and goodness, but a faithful man who can find? Prov. 20:6 AMP
